1. SSC GD 2023 Notification

SSC GD 2023 notification is yet to be released. A candidate must have a minimum 10th-class certificate to appear for the SSC GD exam. It is a national-level exam and the exam is conducted all over India. The application will be accepted through online mode only. The Computer based examination of SSC GD is conducted in English and Hindi. Staff selection commission conducts the SSC GD (General Duty) examination for the post of; 

  • Constable (GD), 
  • Central industrial security post (CISF), 
  • Border Security Force (BSF), 
  • Central reserve police force (CRPF),

2. About SSC GD 2023 Exam Pattern

The SSC GD 2023 notification is yet to be released. The Computer-based test is conducted online. The SSC GD exam pattern consists of 4 stages which are mentioned below,

2.1 Computer-based test (CBT) 

The CBT exam consists of 80 questions and 1 hour. The CBT exam contains a negative marking. 0.5 mark is deducted for each incorrect answer.

2.4 Medical test

Those candidates who have qualified for the PET and PST will be called for a medical test. A candidate must carry important documents such as a 10th class certificate, caste certificate, Domicile certificate, Valid NCC certificate, and any other certificate if needed. Medical tests are conducted for shortlisted candidates.

5.1 Online application process 

A candidate must follow below mentioned steps for filling out the online application form for SSC GD 

  • A candidate must visit the SSC website ssc.nic.in
  • A candidate must scan the photograph, signature, handwritten declaration, and left thumb.
  •  A candidate must start with one-time registration and click on “ New registration”. And fill in the basic details and complete the one-time registration. After that Registration ID and Password will be issued to the candidate. 
  • A candidate must go to the latest notification of SSC GD 2023 notification. Select the centre from the given list and apply for the post. 
  • Make payment and download the application for future reference.

The eligibility criteria of SSC GD 2023 depend on Educational qualification and Age limit.

Educational Qualification: A candidate must hold 10th class or equivalent from a recognized board. An incentive is given to NCC candidates. Bonus marks will be given to NCC candidates in the below-mentioned scale.

8. SSC GD Selection Procedure

The selection process of SSC GD contains 4 stages which are mentioned below,

  1. CBT exam: It contains 80 questions for 1-hour duration. It also contains negative markings. The CBT will be Matriculation level. No candidates are allowed calculators or any other electronic gadgets in the exam hall. The exam will be conducted in Hindi and English. 
  2. Physical efficiency test PET: A candidate must clear the race according to the specific time limit. 
  3. Physical standard test PST: It contains the standard height and weight of males and females. A candidate must fulfil the requirements to qualify for this test.

The Staff Selection Commission Will release the admit card on their official website ssc.nic.in. The admit card is available in both hard copy and soft copy formats. However, only the hard copy of the admit card will be accepted as proof at the time of the interview.

The call letter for the interview will be sent to candidates who have been shortlisted by SSC on their email ID. The call letter should be printed out and carried along with other original documents.
