2. About ESIC 2023 Exam pattern

The Exam pattern of ESIC 2023 for Prelims, Mains, and Computer skill tests may vary from post to post. 

2.1 The exam pattern for ESIC (Upper division clerk) is given below.

  • Preliminary exam: This stage is qualifying in nature. A 1/4 Mark is deducted for every wrong answer.  The candidates are shortlisted on the basis of a 1:10 (Prelims: Mains) ratio.

6.1 Educational qualification

The educational qualification for ESIC Steno, MTS, and UDC is given below.

50 minutes (English),

8. ESIC Selection Procedure

The selection process of ESIC contains two stages i.e. Prelims, Mains and skill test.

Stage 1 Preliminary exam: This stage is qualifying in nature. 1/4  mark is deducted for every wrong answer. A preliminary exam is conducted for Upper division clerk and MTS posts only. The candidates will be shortlisted for the Mains exam in a ratio of 1:10.  

Stage 2 Mains Examination: The candidates will be shortlisted for the skill test in a ratio of 1:5 which means 5 times the vacancies are shortlisted for the skill test. Mains exam is conducted for Upper-division clerks, MTS and stenographer.

Stage 3 Computer/Skill test: The candidates who are qualified in the Mains exam are shortlisted for the Skill test and computer test. Computer skill test is conducted for Upper-division clerks and stenographer.
