1. ESIC 2023 Notification

ESIC Stands for Employee State Insurance Corporation. ESIC is an insurance company and Employee State Insurance Corporation is one of India’s two major Statutory social security bodies. Employee state insurance Corporation is governed by the Ministry of Labor and Employment. ESIC releases the vacancies for Upper Division Clerk, Multitasking staff, and stenographer. 2. About ESIC 2023 Exam pattern

The Exam pattern of ESIC 2023 for Prelims, Mains, and Computer skill tests may vary from post to post. 

2.1 The exam pattern for ESIC (Upper division clerk) is given below.

  • Preliminary exam: This stage is qualifying in nature. A 1/4 Mark is deducted for every wrong answer.  The candidates are shortlisted on the basis of a 1:10 (Prelims: Mains) ratio.

  • Mains examination: This exam also Contains negative markings. A 1/4 Mark was deducted for every wrong answer. The ratio for Main and computer proficiency tests is 1:5 which means the candidates are shortlisted on the basis of 5 times the number of vacancies in computer and skill tests.

5.1 Online application process

The steps for applying ESIC Steno, MTS, and UDC are given below.

  1. Visit the official website of ESIC https://www.esic.gov.in/
  2. Click on “Apply Online for Recruitment to the post of Steno/UDC/MTS in ESIC”.
  3. Select the post to which you are interested to apply and fill out the registration form.
  4. Upload the documents as per the given specification and make payment.
  5. Submit the application form and save the application form.

6. ESIC 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for ESIC stenographer, MTS, and UDC depends on the age limit and  Educational qualification 

6.1 Educational qualification

The educational qualification for ESIC Steno, MTS, and UDC is given below.

 Dictation: 10 Minutes @ 80 words per minute. And Transcription:

50 minutes (English),

65 minutes (Hindi)

6.2 Age limit

The Age limit for ESIC Steno, MTS, and UDC is given below.

8. ESIC Selection Procedure

The selection process of ESIC contains two stages i.e. Prelims, Mains and skill test.

Stage 1 Preliminary exam: This stage is qualifying in nature. 1/4  mark is deducted for every wrong answer. A preliminary exam is conducted for Upper division clerk and MTS posts only. The candidates will be shortlisted for the Mains exam in a ratio of 1:10.  

Stage 2 Mains Examination: The candidates will be shortlisted for the skill test in a ratio of 1:5 which means 5 times the vacancies are shortlisted for the skill test. Mains exam is conducted for Upper-division clerks, MTS and stenographer.

Stage 3 Computer/Skill test: The candidates who are qualified in the Mains exam are shortlisted for the Skill test and computer test. Computer skill test is conducted for Upper-division clerks and stenographer.

15. ESIC Preparation Tips 2023

The ESIC exam is conducted every year in various departments and posts. The candidates who are preparing for ESIC Stenographer, MTS and UDC must start preparation as early as possible because the notification for ESIC (MTS, Steno. and UDC) will be released soon. Candidates can download the ESIC 2023 Admit card for prelims and Mains exams. The Admit card for the Prelims and Mains exam contains the Date and Venue of the exam. The call letter will be given to the shortlisted candidates. Call letters will be sent to the registered mail id of shortlisted candidates.
