The language proficiency test will be conducted in the official Local language of the state. A candidate has to carry a 10th and 12th class certificate during the language proficiency test. the candidates who are not proficient in their local language would be disqualified from the NABARD Assistant.

Before applying a candidate has to check the eligibility criteria which include educational qualification and age limit of a candidate.
6.1 Educational qualification
- Development Assistant: Minimum bachelor’s degree with 50% marks.
- Development Assistant (Hindi): bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in Hindi or English with 50 % marks.

8. NABARD Assistant 2023 Selection Procedure
The selection process for NABARD Assistant contains three stages i.e. Prelims, Mains, and language proficiency test.
Stage 1: Preliminary examination: It contains 100 questions for a one-hour duration. The medium of examination is both Hindi and English. There is a negative marking scheme 1/4 mark is deducted for every wrong answer.
Stage 2: Mains Examination: It contains 200 questions for two hours duration. negative marking is also applicable in the mains exam 1/4 mark is deducted.
Stage 3: Language proficiency test: Minimum 10th and 12th class certificate is required with a declared language as one of the subjects considered in the language proficiency test. The candidates who are not proficient in their local language are disqualified.
