5.1 Online application process

  1. Before applying for EPFO assistant candidates must scan their photograph, signature on left thumb, and hand return declaration as per the specifications given in the notification.
  2. After scanning a candidate must visit the EPFO website  https://www.epfindia.gov.in/site_en/index.php and click on the option “Apply for the Recruitment of the post assistant”.
  3. Enter your details like name, contact details, and email ID, and complete the registration process.
  4. Upload the scanned documents.

The eligibility criteria for EPFO Assistant depend on the Age limit and educational qualification of a candidate. 

6.1 Educational qualification

A candidate should hold a Degree from a recognized university. The final-year students are not eligible for the exam. 

6.2 Age limit

8. EPFO Assistant Selection Procedure

The selection procedure for EPFO Assistant 2023 contains two stages i.e. Prelims and Mains.

  • Prelims Exam: This exam is qualifying in nature. There are a total of 100 questions for a one-hour duration. The prelims exam also contains negative markings. 1/4 mark is deducted for every wrong answer.  
  • Mains exam: The score obtained in the main exam is considered as a final list for EPFO Assistant. The ratio for prelims and main exam is 1:10 which means The candidates are shortlisted based on 10 times the number of vacancies from the prelims exam for Mains exam. Main’s exam contains 153 questions for 2 hours and 45 minutes and 1/4 mark is deducted for each wrong answer. The Mains exam contains a descriptive paper that is completely online.
