2. About RRB JE 2023 Exam

5.1 RRB JE 2023 Online Application & Fee

The RRB JE notification for the year 2023 is yet to be out, and the registration process hasn’t started. But here is the process based on the last notification by the  RRB. One can apply for RRB JE through the official website by following these steps:

1) One needs to create an account on the RRB official website.

2) After creating an account, one should fill in all their personal details and upload scanned copies of an identity proof card(like an Aadhar card) and a recent passport-size photograph.

3) After this one needs to click on the “Apply Online” button and fill in all their educational qualifications and other details which are necessary for filling up the form.

4) Very important thing to remember while applying for RRB JE is to choose the Zone & Division for which you want to apply for.

5) One will receive a confirmation email after filling up the details on the application form.

6) The last step is to pay a fee through online or offline payment modes (debit/credit cards).

8. RRB JE Selection Procedure

The RRB JE 2023 Selection Procedure includes 4 stages.

Stage 1: Computer-Based Test I:

RRB JE CBT-I has a total of 100 questions. The candidate needs to answer all the questions within 90 minutes. There is a negative marking for every incorrect answer. 1/3 marks are deducted for every incorrect answer. 

Stage 2: Computer-Based Test II:

This stage also has a total of 150 questions, but they are not in order of difficulty and each question will be of 1 mark. The candidate needs to answer all the questions within 120 minutes. There is a negative marking for every incorrect answer ⅓ marks is deducted for every wrong answer. 

Stage 3: Document Verification:

The candidate needs to provide his/her identity proof, educational certificates, experience certificates, caste certificate etc., which will be verified by RRB officials for authenticity before proceeding further with the selection process.

Stage 4: Medical examination:

A candidate is called for a Medical test after document verification which is conducted by the railway administration. After confirming that the candidate is medically fit for the post applied they are appointed to the respective post.

RRB JE 2023 Salary Structure follows the basic framework of all central government job Basic pay, Dearness Allowance, HRA, others as given below

  1. Class A contains Metropolis cities with a population below 50 lakhs.
  2. Class B contains Metropolis cities and other cities with a population of 50 Lakhs.
  3. Class C contains Metropolis cities and small cities with a population below 50 Lakhs.

The HRA for Class A, B, and C is 20%,30%, and 5% respectively.

14. RRB JE Preparation Tips 2023

The RRB JE preparation tips are as follows:

Syllabus analysis: The syllabus for the JE exam is divided into four parts – General Intelligence and Reasoning, Computer Knowledge, Quantitative Aptitude, and Engineering syllabus. You should spend equal time on all these subjects.

Daily practice: Spend at least one hour every day in practice for the JE exam. Students are advised to take mock tests to assess their progress.
