The National Recruitment Agency is preparing to hold a computer-based online common eligibility test for non-gazetted central government positions. The government has announced the NRA CET 2022 instead of the Prelims for the exams for all major government ministries. The NRA CET 2022 score of the candidate will be valid for three years. In a press statement issued on May 23, 2022, the Special Committee on Common Eligibility Test stated that the NRA CET 2022 will be held in the third quarter (October-December) of the financial year 2022-2023.

6. Exams Covered Under NRA CET 2023

 6.1 NRA CET for Banking Exams

 The IBPS conducts examinations for the recruitment of various banking positions such as Clerk, Bank PO, Bank SO, and so on. The IBPS organizes a preliminary exam for all such examinations. All of these preliminary tests for banking positions will be replaced by the NRA CET. IBPS will conduct all subsequent stages of selection, such as mains, interviews, and so on.

8. NRA CET Selection process

The recruitment of 12th-grade students for various government organizations would involve a thorough selection process. The process’s specific steps are outlined below:

Examinees in class 12 will take the National Recruitment Agency Common Entrance Test (NRA CET), which serves as an entrance exam for SSC, RRB, and IBPS recruitment. There will be 100 questions in the 200-mark NRA CET.

Phase-II Exam: There are a few preliminary tests that the NRA CET for the 12th grade just replaces. Applicants for banks, for example, must take the main exam, whilst candidates for SSC must take the Tier-II written exam.

9. NRA CET Score and Validity

Number of attempts: There is no restriction to the number of times one can take the exam, subject to the statutory maximum age limit.
