6.2 Age Criteria
The minimum age requirement for both positions is 18 years, while the maximum age varies, as stated in the RRB Technician Notification.
Candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 36 to apply for Technician Grade 1 Signal positions. For Technician Grade 3 positions Candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 33.

8. RRB Technician Selection Procedure
RRB technician 2024 Selection process consists of three stages i.e CBT, Document verification and medical exam.
- CBT: There will be a separate exam for grade-1 and grade-3 positions. The exam will be conducted online. CBT for Grade 1 has Five sections for 100 marks and 90 minutes is given for the exam . CBT for Grade 3 Consist of four sections for 100 marks and 90 minutes is given for the exam. There will be negative marks. For every wrong answer 1/3 marks will be deducted.
- Document verification: The shortlisted candidates from computer based tests are called for document verification. At the time of document verification candidates should carry their important documents such as caste certificate, educational proof, Benchmark Disability certificate etc.
- Medical exam: The last stage of selecting an RRB technician is a medical exam. Candidates who are qualified in the medical exam are called for the final posting as per their preference location.

10. RRB Technician 2024 Salary Structure
The applicants selected for Technician positions will receive a monthly remuneration in addition to an allowance and additional benefits. Technician Grade 1 Signal jobs will receive a salary of Rs. 29,200/-, while Technician Grade 3 posts would receive a salary of Rs. 19,900 as pay level 2.
