1. RRB NTPC 2023 Notification

The RRB NTPC Notification  2023  will be released shortly on RRB’s official website https://indianrailways.gov.in./ RRB will announce job openings for Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC), i.e. 

• Junior Account Assistant(Typist)
• Senior Timekeeper
• Junior Clerk (Typist)
• Accounts Clerk (Typist)
• Junior Time Keeper
• Trains Clerk
• Commercial/ Ticket Clerk(Ticket Collector)

The previous cycle of RRB NTPC Notification was released in the year 2019 and the cycle of exams to final results was postponed till 2022 due COVID-19 outbreak. It is estimated that the annual announcement of RRB NTPC Notification 2023 will be released this April/May and will complete within the usual 1-year span. 2. About RRB NTPC 2023 Exam

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) conducts the National Talent Pool Competitive Examination (NTPC) for recruitment to Group ‘C’ posts in the Indian Railways every year.

The examination is conducted in four stages- 

1. RRB NTPC 2023 CBT-I/ RRB NTPC 2023 Prelims
2. Mains – RRB NTPC 2023 CBT-II/  / RRB NTPC 2023 Mains
3. The Skill Test (Typing) /Computer Based Aptitude Test(CBAT) – depending on the post applied.
4. Document Verification & Medical Test 

2.1 RRB NTPC 2023 CBT-I 

RRB NTPC 2023 Exam pattern CBT-I or otherwise called RRB NTPC 2023 Prelims Exam is a basic screening test that is used to remove unprepared candidates from the list. The score from RRB NTPC 2023 CBT-I is not considered in the final result.

2.2 RRB NTPC 2023 CBT-II

RRB NTPC 2023 Exam Pattern CBT- II is for only candidates that are qualified in RRB NTPC 2023 CBT-I. The score of this round will be considered in RRB NTPC 2023 Final Results. RRB NTPC 2023 CBT-I score carries a total of 70 % weightage in the final score.

2.3 RRB NTPC 2023 CBAT

The candidates who qualify in the Preliminary and Mains examinations are eligible to take part in the third stage- The Computer-Based Aptitude Test(CBAT). But this round is only applicable to 

• Traffic Assistant
• Station Master

The final score weightage is 70% for RRB NTPC Mains exams and 30% for the Aptitude exam (for eligible people). When the candidate qualifies in this round then an interview for document verification is conducted by RRB, which will be followed by a medical test if required.

2.4 RRB NTPC 2023 Skill Test

The candidates who qualify in the Preliminary and Mains examinations are eligible to take part in the third stage- But the skill test is only for a few posts with typing specialization.

This test is mainly for words per minute(WPM) in English(30 WPM) and Hindi (25 WPM). The skill test is conducted eight times the usual vacancy to select the best among the applicants. Qualifying for this round will enable the applicants for a document verification round and medical check-up.

6. RRB NTPC 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The RRB NTPC 2023 Notification has set out the eligibility criteria for applying for the RRB NTPC 2023 Exam.

6.1 Education Qualification and Age Limit

– The candidate should have completed 10+2 or its equivalent exam from a recognized board for undergraduate-level posts

–  Candidates with a degree from any recognized board or equivalent education for Graduation level posts.

8. RRB NTPC 2023 Selection Procedure

The RRB NTPC 2023 Selection procedure has multiple steps. They also have a few stages designed expressly for certain positions.

The following are the steps in the selection process:

• Prelims examination (CBT-1): It contains 100 questions for 90 minutes duration. There will be a negative marking 1/3 mark is deducted for every wrong answer. 
• Mains Exam (CBT-2): It contains 120 questions for 90 minutes duration. CBT-2 also contains negative markings 1/3 mark is deducted for every wrong answer.
• Typing Test: For the post of Junior Accounts Assistant( Typist), Senior Clerk(Typist), and Senior Time Keeper.
• Aptitude Exam: For the post of Traffic Assistant and Assistant Station Master.
• Verification of Documents.
• Test of Medical Fitness.

9. RRB NTPC Syllabus 2023

RRB NTPC 2023 syllabus is estimated to have not been subjected to any changes from the previous RRB NTPC 2019 Syllabus. If any new changes are to be announced then the latest update will be posted here. The syllabus for CBT-1 and CBT-2 is the same but the level of difficulty may vary in CBT-1 and CBT-2. 

10. RRB NTPC Vacancy 2023: Category-Wise

RRB NTPC Notification 2023 comes with a list of vacancies that can be filled in the Railway Board. These vacancies can be discussed mainly in two categories.

10.1 Zonal and Division-wise Vacancies

The railway board divided the vacancies based on the zonal and divisional areas they come under. This helps the applicants on which zone they can apply to.

11. RRB NTPC 2023 Cut-Off: Expected & Previous Year’s Cut-off Marks

14. RRB NTPC 2023 Admit Card & Call Letter

The Railway Recruitment Board is in charge of administering the RRB NTPC exam. The exam date, time slot, exam location, and other information are on the admit card. The official RRB website is where you can download the 2023 RRB NTPC Admit Card.

There will be two phases of the RRB NTPC Exam and therefore there will be two admission cards. A few days before RRB NTPC 2023 CBT-I, the Board of Railway Recruitment releases the RRB NTPC 2023 CBT-I Admit card.

Candidates who passed RRB NTPC 2023 CBT-I are eligible to take the exam again in RRB NTPC 2023 CBT-II. As a result, the second admission card is made available following the RRB NTPC 2023 CBT-I results.

A call letter is mailed to the candidate who qualifies in both phases inviting them to the Document verification round and medical test.

15. RRB NTPC Prelims 2023 Result

The result of the RRB NTPC 2023 CBT-I or RRB NTPC Prelims exam will be announced within a month of the exam. Candidates can check their results on the official website.

16. RRB NTPC Mains 2023 Result

RRB NTPC Mains Results are to be released a month from the RRB NTPC 2023 CBT-II Exam on the official website. Candidates can check their results by entering their roll number and date of birth on the results date.

17. RRB NTPC Document Verification/Medical Test

Candidates who qualify for both RRB NTPC CBT Exams(Prelims and Mains) and the RRB NTPC Skill test(only for applicable posts)/ RRB NTPC Aptitude exam(CBAT) are called for RRB NTPC Document Verification stage. The interview is conducted by a panel of Officers from the RRB NTPC. The RRB NTPC Interview Process consists mainly of document verification and medical tests.

Candidates need to submit their original documents as 

• Proof of identity(AAdhar/ voter id)
• Proof of age (birth certificate)
• Proof of educational qualifications(Degree/ B.tech/10+2 certificates)

which are then verified by RRB NTPC officials before appointing them to a post. The candidate needs to undergo a medical examination during the interview round. When both the medical test and background verification check out they will send a posting order via mail. 

Then a merit chart is prepared for the people who qualified a month from RRB NTPC Document Verification/Medical Test
