8. NICL AO Selection Procedure
The selection procedure for NICL AO depends on Prelims, Mains, and Interviews.
Stage 1 Prelims exam: There will be 100 questions for 1 hour. The Prelims exam contains 3 sections i.e. English, Reasoning and Quant. Candidates have to qualify for each section there will be sectional and total cut-offs. NICL AO prelims exam also contains negative marking, 1/4 mark is deducted for each wrong answer.
Stage 2 Mains Exam: It consists of an Objective and descriptive paper. An objective test is conducted for 200 marks for 2 hours duration. The descriptive paper is conducted for 30 minutes, it contains 3 questions. There will be a penalty for a wrong answer 1/4 mark is deducted for each wrong answer.
Stage 3 Interview: The shortlisted candidates are called for an interview. The NICL AO interviews will be conducted in the selected centres. The date and venue for the interview will be shared with the shortlisted candidates.

13. NICL AO 2023 Guarantee bond
Before Joining the selected candidates will have to undergo a training period i.e. 6 months which may extend up to 1 year. The selected candidates will have to serve the company for a minimum of 4 years including a probation period. If any employee resigns from the company before the expiry of the bond period, they are liable to pay one year of gross salary.
