2. SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern 2024
2.1 SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern Tier 1
The SSC Stenographer Tier-I Exam consists of Three sections i.e. English, General Awareness, and Reasoning. There will be 200 questions in all, each worth one mark, on the computer-based test (CBT) that will be administered online. There will now be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer according to the revised Tier 1 marking method. The exam pattern of the SSC Stenographer Tier-I Exam is given below.

2.2 SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern Tier 2
SSC Stenographer Tier 2 is a skill test. For the Stenographer Grade C position, candidates must write a passage on any given topic in 10 minutes at a speed of 100 words per minute (w.p.m.); for the Stenographer Grade D position, candidates must write a passage at a speed of 80 w.p.m. Applicants who pass the Tier 1 Computer-Based Test (CBT) will be able to take the Tier 2 exam. The Tier 2 exam is a shorthand skill examination that assesses candidates’ stenography proficiency. The SSC Stenographer Tier 2 Exam pattern for Grade D and Grade C is given below.
