SSC CHSL 2023 Admit card and exam dates are out.

SSC CHSL 2023 Phase-I Admit card was released on 28th July. The SSC CHSL 2023 Phase-I Exam was held from 2nd August to 17th August. The SSC CHSL Phase-I Results will be announced soon.

1. SSC CHSL 2023 Notification

The SSC CHSL 2023 Notification is released on 9 May 2023. SSC conducts CHSL Exam every year. It is a national-level government exam that is organised by the staff selection commission. A candidate must have a 12th-class certificate for applying to SSC CHSL. Staff selection commission conduct CHSL from various department such as, 

  • Data entry operator (DEO)
  • Data entry operator (Grade-A)
  • Lower Division Clerk (LDC) / Junior secretariat assistant (JSA)

2. About SSC CHSL 2023 Exam pattern

SSC CHSL 2023 exam notification is released with 5002 vacancies. SSC CHSL (Combined Higher Secondary Level examination)  exam pattern Contains two stages 

2.1 SSC CHSL 2023 Tier-1 (Preliminary) Examination: 

The SSC CHSL Tier-1 examination is a Computer Based exam. The Tier-1 examination contains multiple choice questions and there will be negative marking for wrong answers 0.5 Mark is deducted for each wrong answer. The exam pattern of the SSC CHSL Tier-1 examination is given below.

2.2 SSC CHSL 2023 Tier-2 (Mains) Examination: 

SSC CHSL Tier 2 exam contains two sections. Section-I and section II exams are conducted on the same day. Tire-2 contains multiple-choice questions. There will be a negative marking in SSC CHSL Tier-2  1 mark deducted for each wrong answer. The exam pattern of SSC CHSL 2023 is given below

  1. Skill test is only for Data entry operators. 
  • Skill test for the post of DEO and DEO(Group-A) in the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG), Food and Public Distribution, and  Ministry of Consumer Affairs,  Ministry of Culture department. The speed of key depression should be 15,000 per hour. 
  • Skill test for the post of DEO and DEO(Group-A) except in Department/ Ministry Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG), Food and Public Distribution, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, and Ministry of Culture department. The speed of key depression should be 8,000 per hour. 
  1. Typing test is only for the LDC Lower division clerk  and JSA junior secretariat assistant

A candidate can select the medium for typing tests either Hindi or English. The typing speed for English is 35 words per minute and 30 words per minute for Hindi.

5. SSC CHSL 2023 Online Application & Fee

SSC CHSL 2023 notification will be released on the official website. Before the post, a candidate must fill out the notification and instructions to fill out the application form. 

The online application process contains the below steps. 

  • Visit the official website of SSC ssc.nic.in.
  • Fill out the one-time registration form and enter your basic details such as name, mobile number, aadhar card, declaration, etc. 
  • Before applying a candidate must scan a photograph
  • Go to the latest SSC CHSL notification and click apply. 
  • New application form will open, fill the basic details and upload the photograph according to the given specification.

8. SSC CHSL 2023 Selection Procedure

The SSC CHSL 2023 contains 4 stages for selection

Stage 1: SSC CHSL Preliminary exam is an objective type exam. A candidate can set English and Hindi as a medium of the exam. There will be negative marking in the preliminary exam (Tier-I) 0.5 mark is deducted for every incorrect answer. 

Stage 2: SSC CHSL Mains examination is an objective type exam. Tier-II exam is conducted in two sessions. Both the sessions are conducted in a day. There will be negative marking in Mains Exam (Tier-II) 1 mark is deducted for every wrong answer. 

Stage 3: Skill test/ Typing test is used to test the efficiency and speed of a candidate. Skill test is conducted only for DEO/ DEO (Grade-A). The speed of data entry would be 8,000 key depressions in one hour. Typing test is conducted for LDC/ JSA. A candidate can select the tying language either Hindi or English. The typing speed for English would be 35 words per minute and for Hindi typing speed would be 30 words per minute. 

Stage 4: Document verification is the last stage of SSC CHSL. All the shortlisted candidates are called for Document verification. A candidate should hold all the documents which are mentioned in the application form for verification.

16. SSC CHSL 2023 Admit Card & Call Letter

The staff selection commission releases the admit card for Tier-I and Tier-II exams a few days before the exams. Candidates have to download the Admit card from their respective regional official Websites.

Applicants who have not received the admit card one week before the exam are requested to contact the Regional Office concerned of the Commission with proof of having submitted his application  The candidates who are Qualified in both SSC CHSL Tier-I and Tier-II exams are called for document verification. Call letters are sent via mail to a candidate.

17. SSC CHSL Prelims 2023 Result

SSC CHSL 2023 notification is yet to be released. Those who have qualified the Tier-I they will be called for the Tier-II exam. The results of the Tier-I( Prelims exam) will be released a few days after conducting the Tier-I exam.

18. SSC CHSL Mains 2023 Results

SSC CHSL Tier-II (Mains exam) is conducted for shortlisting candidates. SSC will publish the results on its official website. 

19. SSC CHSL 2023 Document verification

Document verification is conducted by the user department/organisation after the Tier-II results are declared. A call letter is sent via mail to the selected candidates for document verification. A candidate must carry all the important documents such as 

  • Educational qualification certificates, 
  • Caste certificate,
  •  No-objection Certificates. (if you are a government employee),
  •  Any other documents that are mentioned in the application.
