RRB ALP : Railway Recruitment Board Examination
Railway recruitment board (RRB) conducts RRB ALP and Technician Exam to recruit Assistant Loco Pilot and Technician for different railway zones across the country. This is a national level exam, however, RRB releases vacancy for different zones separately. The exam is being conducted in multiple phases, First Stage CBT, Second Stage CBT, Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) and Document Verification. After completion of all the phases, RRBs publish results on their respective regional websites.

Number system, BODMAS, Decimals, Fractions, LCM, HCF, Ratio and Proportion, Percentages, Mensuration, Time and Work; Time and Distance, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and Loss, Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry, Elementary Statistics, Square Root, Age Calculations, Calendar & Clock, Pipes & Cistern etc.
- General Intelligence & Logical Reasoning
Analogies, Alphabetical and Number Series, Coding and Decoding, Mathematical operations, Relationships, Syllogism, Jumbling, Venn Diagram, Data Interpretation and Sufficiency, Conclusions and Decision Making, Similarities and Differences, Analytical reasoning, Classification, Directions, Statement – Arguments and Assumptions etc.

RRB ALP Age Limit
The minimum age to apply for the RRB ALP exam is 18 years. Age-relaxation varies from one category to another. The following table tells the RRB ALP Age Eligibility for different categories and posts:

RRB ALP offers a provision of age relaxation for candidates from all reserved categories. Candidates must keep in mind the RRB ALP Age Limit before filling the application form. Relaxation of the upper age limit for the various categories is shown in the table below.

RRB ALP Nationality
RRB ALP Eligibility Criteria as per Nationality mandates a candidate to be a resident of the prescribed states only. Candidates belonging to these states will be eligible to apply for RRB ALP. An applicant must fulfill any one of the following conditions:
- A citizen of India
- A citizen of Nepal
- A citizen of Bhutan
- A Tibetan refugee settled in India before 1st January 1962
- Indian by origin, who has migrated Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of staying permanently in India.
