Candidate should be a graduate (Degree) in any discipline from a University recognized by the Govt. of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.

Age Limit

The minimum age to apply for the IBPS Clerk exam is  20 years. Age-relaxation varies from one category to another. The following table tells the IBPS Clerk Age Eligibility for different categories and posts:

IBPS Clerk offers a provision of age relaxation for candidates from all reserved categories. Candidates must keep in mind the IBPS Clerk Age Limit before filling the application form. Relaxation of the upper age limit for the various categories is shown in the table below.

IBPS Clerk Eligibility Criteria as per Nationality mandates a candidate to be a resident of the prescribed states only.  Candidates belonging to these states will be eligible to apply for IBPS Clerk. An applicant must fulfill any one of the following conditions:

  • A citizen of India
  • A citizen of Nepal
  • A citizen of Bhutan
  • A Tibetan refugee settled in India before 1st January 1962
  • Indian by origin, who has migrated Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of staying permanently in India.

IBPS will have 2 levels of examination namely
(i) Preliminary exam
(ii) Main exam.
Candidates who qualify for the preliminary exam is eligible to appear for the main exam.

UGC approved graduation or degree in any discipline or equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.

Photograph, Signature, Left Thumb Impression, and a handwritten declaration. All scanned documents should be uploaded with the correct size and format as mentioned in the clerk notification.

Only one state can apply for IBPS Clerk aspirant
