Exam Syllabus

Paper I: Arithmetic  & Test of Reasoning / Mental Ability (Objective Type)  (100 Questions)

 

Arithmetic

 It will include questions on problems relating to number systems, simple interest, compound interest, ratio & proportion, average, percentage, profit & loss, time & work, work & wages, time & distance, clocks & calendars, partnership, mensuration etc.

 

Test of Reasoning

It will include questions of both verbal & non-verbal type and include question on analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualisation, spatial orientation, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory etc

 

Paper II: General Studies (Objective Type) (100 Questions)

 

  1. General Science – Contemporary developments in science and technology and their implications including matters of everyday observation and experience, contemporary issues relating to protection of environment as may be expected of a well educated person who has not made a special study of any scientific discipline.

 

  1. Current events of national and international importance.

 

  1. History of India – emphasis will be on broad general understanding of the subject in its social, economic, cultural and political aspects. Indian National Movement.

 

  1. Geography of India.

 

  1. Indian Polity and Economy – including the Country’s political system, rural development, planning and economic reforms in India.

Paper I (English) (Descriptive Type):

The candidate’s understanding of the English language, its correct usage and his writing ability would be tested. Questions on short essay, comprehension, précis, letter writing, paragraph writing / report writing, translation from English to Telugu etc. would be included

 

Paper II (Telugu) (Descriptive Type): 

The candidate’s understanding of the Telugu language, its correct usage and his writing ability would be tested. Questions on short essay, comprehension, précis, letter writing, paragraph writing / report writing, translation from Telugu to English etc. would be included

Appearing candidates for ap police recruitment must and should have Graduate from any recognized University.

Minimum pass out marks is enough to appear for the Police Constable Recruitment.

Age Limit

No, pensions will not be given to the employees. The pension was only for candidates hired before August 2004. The revised AP Pension guidelines have laid out several changes regarding pensions.

There are several grounds for disqualification, like Falsification/Suppression of facts, canvassing, using unfair means, has entered into or having a marriage with a person having a living spouse or vice versa, the person who has been dismissed from Government Service, a convicted felon, and so on.

  • For SI the minimum age 18 to 27 years
  • For driver operator 18 to 30 years
  • For warden 18 to 30 years
  • For constable 18 to 25 years

 

  • The age limit for SC/ST/OBC Candidates is relaxed by five years.
  • There are relaxations for Ex-Military candidates.

HSC/SSC Certificate and Mark sheet, DOB Proof (Exm. Birth             Certificate), Address Proof (Eg. Aadhar Card) etc are required at the time registration

The paper consists 2 categories one is Arithmetic and reasoning ability marks consists of 100 and duration 3 hrs.

And another paper consists of General Studies Marks allotted 100 and time 3hrs.
